The town of Champex is a hidden gem in the Swiss Alps, with shops, cafés, and restaurants all within 200m of the hotel. Champex is a summer and winter resort, offering a multitude of activities in both seasons.

dining & bars

Champex has a variety of different restaurants, from a pizzeria to fine dining. You'll find something for everyone. Champex also offers a couple of pubs as well as Mimi's wine bar, located in the Mont Lac hotel. In the winter season, there is also a bar / music venue which offers a variety of live concerts. Mimi's will also show any big sporting events - if it's Federer defending his title, the World Cup football or even rugby matches.

Shopping

Champex has several shops for you to browse during your stay. There's a grocery store with many regional specialties, a sports shop with the latest in gear and equipment, a fishing shop to keep you well stocked during the season as well as a new Swiss design boutique, Vachement Suisse with unique and original products all made by innovative Swiss designers.

winter

Champex has 4 lifts that take you to over 15 km of ski runs. The pistes accommodate beginners as well as more advanced skiers and freeriders. Champex is also only 29 km from Verbier, one of Switzerland’s most renowned ski resorts. Champex also offers ice skating, sledding, night skiing, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, walks with Saint Bernard dogs, workshops for kids, and more! And just 20 min by car, you can visit the world famous Gianadda Museum or the Barry Foundation (the museum dedicated to the Saint Bernard dogs) in Martigny!

summer

Champex is an extremely lively resort in summer. It is an important stop on the Tour du Mont Blanc so hosts numerous international hikers every day. There are also numerous hikes in and around Champex suited for all levels. There's also paddle boating and fishing in the lake, an outside swimming pool, tennis, sand volleyball, a military fort and a beautiful Alpine garden. Champex hosts an annual artisanal market around the lake every July as well as a free music festival at the end of the summer. And just 20 min by car, you can visit the world famous Gianadda Museum or the Barry Foundation (the museum dedicated to the Saint Bernard dogs) in Martigny!
